How Will the Biden Infrastructure Plan Will Shape the Construction Industry, Your Business and the Future of America?

Understand exactly what is in the Biden infrastructure plan, the types of construction projects that will emerge and how the country will fund the package. Given the recent challenges at our borders, Congress will be forced to take on this complex issue. Experts will help you understand geographical perspectives and the pathway to citizenship in the United States, Temporary Protected Status, the worker visa system and merit-based immigration principles. Participants will help shape ABC’s position on the issues and author actions ABC can take to help put the best talent on the construction field.

Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act 

Protecting the Right to Organize Act has been a top legislative priority and it has passed the Democratic-led House of Representatives multiple times. It is supported by the Biden administration and is awaiting action in the Senate. What does the PRO Act mean to the merit shop and to you as an ABC contractor? What can you do to help prevent this legislation from becoming law? Attend this workshop to understand the impact the PRO Act has on the right for workers to choose their employment path, how secondary boycotting will affect the industry, how your relationship in the supply chain will be affected and how your attorney-privilege will change.

Government Mandated Project Labor Agreements

The Biden administration, Congress and state and local lawmakers are requiring government-mandated project labor agreements in various legislation and regulations. What are GMPLAs  and how does the government mandate them? How do they affect your decision to compete? How will they affect your workforce? How do we prevent them from being imposed? What can you do to help promote fair and open competition? If you do work that includes any government financing, you want to attend this workshop.

Radio host and FOX news media contributor Larry Kudlow will share legislative hot topics and an in-depth look at the issues impacting merit shop contractors and the economy. Kudlow served as assistant to the president for economic policy and director of the national economic council and led the coordination of President Trump’s domestic and global economic policy agenda.
